Organizing festival is one of the ways to greet Spring, but festivals in other regions are not the same. If you visit the Central Highlands at this time, you will see your eyes one unique culture by Ethnic minority people. This is partly highlighted through their festivals and cuisine in spring when people set aside their field work and enjoy springtime. E De and M’nong villagers think that, spring will knock their doors as soon as they finish working on their crops. They are funny and happy in new brocade clothes to attend small parties. They can invite each other to share in the joy with them. It is also the occasion to show gratitude to the gods, ancestors and pray for health. Not having the small parties like E De and M’nong people, the elders in Cu Lie M’Nong village, Cu M’gar district, Dak Lak province show their traditional customs, such as living in stilts houses, drinking Can wine (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes), beating gongs and brocade weaving. Culinary culture and the dishes of central highlanders are quite special with ingredients mainly from nature. Their favourite taste is for spicy foods. The 100-year-old Tring village is the place where E De people in Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province are most numerous. With State support, a cultural house was built, providing villagers with a communal space. A newly established brocade weaving co-operative has created more jobs for local residents.
